Beauty: Influenster Something Blue VoxBox Review

Last month I was very excited to receive my seventh Influenster VoxBox! In case you haven't checked out my previous Influenster posts yet, Influenster is a company that sends beauty samples to select bloggers & social media influencers for free for testing purposes.

My latest VoxBox was the "Something Blue" box. It contains all the little necessities you need when attending a wedding! I took these on the road with me to Farmington, CT a few weeks ago for a fabulous black tie wedding. I really loved testing out all of the products for the event! It couldn't have been better timing.

Contents:
Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste
2 boxes of Q-TIPS Precision Tips
Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions
Urgent Rx Fast Powders (products vary)
MyTrio Rings Coupon Voucher
2 boxes of Kiss everEZlashes (styles vary)

My favorite product by far was the Luster NOW! toothpaste. The results were truly outstanding. After just one use, I could very visibly see its powerful whitening effect. I've used white strips, optic white and 3D white toothpastes, and fluoride trays. None of those seemed to work as quickly as this product. I'm also a huge fan of false lashes. So, I loved testing out the Kiss lashes. They were really easy to apply and didn't even need to be cut/shortened. They're definitely reusable too! The Urgent Rx powder that I got was for headaches. I tried mine out after a long train ride (we were delayed on the track for an extra hour). The soothing effect came on fast and the powder was super easy to use - no water needed!

There were very few things I disliked about this VoxBox. I'd tried the Dr. Scholl's cushions in a previous VoxBox. They're really comfortable. However, they don't stick very well to a lot of the heels that I own. Your insole probably needs to be made of leather to get them to really stick properly. They just slide around on most of mine. I also didn't have much of a use for the MyTrio Rings since I wasn't getting married, just attending a wedding as a guest.

Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox 2012

As you may have seen in my previous posts reviewing the Spring Beauty VoxBox and Summer Beauty VoxBox, I was selected for a fantastic program for bloggers hosted by Influenster called the VoxBox. This month I received my third VoxBox in the mail, the Beauty Bloggers VoxBox. VoxBoxes are boxes of sample products sent to your home for absolutely FREE for testing purposes.

My box this month included: a NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Palette in Dark Shadows, an EBOOST Daily Health Booster in Orange, a Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit, a Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream, a Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin Set for Dark Hair, a Bath & Body Works Mini Candle in Pumpkin Cupcake & Coupon for $10 OFF a 3-Wick Candle, and a Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Balm & Night Cream in Dry / Very Dry.

You can view my full revealing of all the products in the YouTube video below with reviews on a few specific products to follow:

I was particularly excited about the Bath & Body Works candle and the Boots No. 7 creams. I love BBW candles - they're great quality, often on sale, and come in such a wide variety of scents to suit everyone's tastes. The medium and 3-wick sized candles come with luxurious looking gold tone and silver tone lids. They make really great gifts! The 3-wick candles are currently on sale - 2 for $20 (reg. $20 each, shop HERE). Additionally BBW is having a lot of sales right now so be sure to stop by your local store and pick up a holiday coupon book! Boots is another really great high quality brand that I used a lot while living in England last year (it's one of the biggest pharmacy chains in the UK).

Other highlights (for me) this month include the the fantastic instructional IndividualEyes kit from New York Color which retails for only $4.99 and the Kiss false lashes which are made out of 100% human hair.

Here's where you can purchase all of the products:

Style: Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color - The Perfect Look for Fall!

Last month I received a bottle of Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color for free, for testing purposes, from Influenster. There are so many things I really loved about this product and after trying out Sally Hanson Salon Effects (read my previous post HERE) and now the Magnetic Color, I am officially in love with Sally Hansen products! I'll definitely save a lot of money I used to spend going to the salon.

The Magnetic Nail Color was so easy to apply! You simply add one coat as you would normally and let it dry. Then, you add a thicker second coat. Before the second coat dries, you take the cap of the nail polish and place it over your finger nail. The cap has a small piece of plastic sticking out that allows you to rest it just ABOVE the nail polish so the polish gets the desired effect without getting smudged.

The only thing of note is that the color I was given, "Red-y Response", was definitely not red. It was much more of a purple color. Personally I loved and preferred the purplish shade but don't purchase it thinking you will get anything that looks remotely red. When I received the sample in my Summer VoxBox I was a bit hesitant about the color because it was July. However, I think this color and the other ones that are offered are absolutely PERFECT colors for fall

The nail color lasts about 5-7 days without a topcoat and significantly longer with a good quality top coat and base coat. It runs for about $8.99 at Target, Walmart, and most pharmacies.
