I just love buying prints. It's actually to a fault, as it's so hard for me to go into a store and buy something "plain" in a solid color to go with everything else in my closet! One of my fave combos: bold stripes + floral/foliage prints + animal prints. Check out how I styled a few of my fave purchases from this summer. Next stop, an exotic beach vacation!?!
I adored the Juicy Couture summer collection banana leaf print from the moment I saw it. It's so iconic - definitely inspired by the decor of The Beverly Hills Hotel and The Greenbrier. I was so amazed when this bag went on sale. It was originally $178 and I snagged it for just $44.99! You can still get the hobo crossbody bag in this print on the Juicy site.
I was the winner of HauteLook's East/West Challenge on Instagram earlier this year. I'd been waiting for a long time trying to figure out which treasures I'd purchase with my $100 prize. I absolutely jumped for joy when I saw these adorable Tory Burch wedges with frogs on them for just $67! Now that's a real bargain!

Last month I was very excited to receive my seventh Influenster VoxBox! In case you haven't checked out my previous Influenster posts yet, Influenster is a company that sends beauty samples to select bloggers & social media influencers for free for testing purposes. My latest VoxBox was the "Something Blue" box. It contains all the little necessities you need when attending a wedding! I took these on the road with me to Farmington, CT a few weeks ago for a fabulous black tie wedding. I really loved testing out all of the products for the event! It couldn't have been better timing.
Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste
2 boxes of Q-TIPS Precision Tips
Dr. Scholl's For Her Ball of Foot Cushions
Urgent Rx Fast Powders (products vary)
MyTrio Rings Coupon Voucher
2 boxes of Kiss everEZlashes (styles vary)
My favorite product by far was the Luster NOW! toothpaste. The results were truly outstanding. After just one use, I could very visibly see its powerful whitening effect. I've used white strips, optic white and 3D white toothpastes, and fluoride trays. None of those seemed to work as quickly as this product. I'm also a huge fan of false lashes. So, I loved testing out the Kiss lashes. They were really easy to apply and didn't even need to be cut/shortened. They're definitely reusable too! The Urgent Rx powder that I got was for headaches. I tried mine out after a long train ride (we were delayed on the track for an extra hour). The soothing effect came on fast and the powder was super easy to use - no water needed! There were very few things I disliked about this VoxBox. I'd tried the Dr. Scholl's cushions in a previous VoxBox. They're really comfortable. However, they don't stick very well to a lot of the heels that I own. Your insole probably needs to be made of leather to get them to really stick properly. They just slide around on most of mine. I also didn't have much of a use for the MyTrio Rings since I wasn't getting married, just attending a wedding as a guest.
For this week only, you can snag ANY handbag for just $29. Many of these handbags retail at $120-150. That's definitely a bargain! Simply use the code "HANDBAG29" at checkout. The sale ends on 7/14/13.
A few of the included styles are the classic Chanel-esque "Park Avenue Shopper", Chinese inspired "Hong Kong Tote", and weekend getaway ready "East Hampton Color Block Satchel". Shop the full collection HERE.
At the end of June I was really excited to receive my fourth beauty subscription box by Glossybox! This month's box was curated by renowned fashion & beauty blogger Dallas Shaw. Since I absolutely loved Glossybox's collaboration with blogger The Man Repeller in January, I was definitely looking forward to this box from the moment I heard about it!
SpaRitual Nail Polish (colors vary)
Tarte Complexion Enhancing Lipstick
Philip B. Hair Styling Gel (products vary)
c.Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Dry Oil Mist
Oscar de la Renta Essential Luxuries Perfume Collection
Hair Styling Gel: Because I have very straight long hair, I don't really use styling gel much. In general, it just makes my hair look dirty/greasy. So, I wish I'd received one of the other hair products sent to subscribers (shampoo, leave-in conditioner, etc). I think this one will have to be gifted because it's just not something that really fits my personal beauty routine. Full Size $19. Dry Oil Mist: I have really dry skin, especially during the summertime. So, I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of this product. The consistency is definitely a little oily & slick. So, I'm a bit hesitant (for now) about using it on my face. I have used it on my arms though and I loved how quickly it moisturized my skin and how nicely it smelled! Full Size $8.
Perfume: There were six different vials included in an adorable satin pouch: Sargasso, Santo Domingo, Mi Corazon, Coralina, Granada, and Oriental Lace. So far, I've only tried one of the scents (Granada) and absolutely loved it! I look forward to experimenting with all six throughout the summer. Full Size $150. Lipstick: I'm a HUGE fan of Tarte and am absolutely in love with the Glamazon 12-Hour Lipstick they included in the January box. So, when Glossybox revealed that a Tarte lipstick would be included in this month's box, I was definitely sold on ordering another Glossybox. This one's not quite as fancy as the Glamazon one (doesn't last as long, smaller, cheaper packaging). However, it's a full size product worth $14.50 and is definitely still very good quality. It's got very subtle color (unlike the Glamazon one), which is great for daytime. It's also jam-packed with moisture. Full Size $14.50. Nail Polish: I was not a big fan of the color I received (Whirlwind Romance). It's a nude shade that I thought would go on fairly opaque and neutral. However, it's more of a sheer tone with a subtle hologram effect. I found the color made the white tip of my nails look especially pink through it. Overall, it just wasn't my taste. I would have preferred one of the colors that I saw some other subscribers received. Full Size $12.00. Overall Verdict: A+! Again, I was really pleased with my Glossybox. Although not all of the products were a perfect fit for me, I still feel like I got great value for the money ($21). I think Glossybox's collaborations are its best boxes. So, I look forward to ordering the next one!
